Southeast Regional Insurance Company specializes in repurchasing at lower rates

Most people buy car or home insurance and never look at it again. South East Regional Insurance owner Richard Cleri insists repurchasing insurance is something people should do every year because it can end up saving them a lot of money.

After eight years of owning CCS Insurance in Connecticut, Cleri knows through trust, loyalty and determination that this method of re-shopping brings success and keeps customers happy. As an independent insurance company, Southeast Regional Insurance agents purchase from different insurers to find their clients the best and most cost-effective insurance for their needs.

“We pay our employees to come up with better deals for our customers every year, which essentially lowers the amount of premium they pay and ultimately makes us less money,” Cleri said. “Most agents just don’t operate in long-term thinking like that.”

While their office is across town, Cleri and Karren Nash, her fiancé and general manager of Southeast Regional Insurance, are residents of FishHawk and can be seen in the room’s community networking of Commerce of Valrico Fishhawk and the local chapter of BNI.

After a few years of investing in real estate in the area, Cleri decided to make it a permanent home earlier this year when he opened Southeast Regional Insurance. “We absolutely fell in love with the area; we are excited to become residents and are exploring every nook and cranny,” he said.

Southeast Regional Insurance can provide insurance anywhere in the state of Florida. Cleri explained that nearly 100% of business is done over the phone and her face-to-face meetings are usually held at a local cafe.

His agency in Connecticut, CCS Insurance, is much larger than the average insurance agency, according to Cleri. “I brought the same business model here,” he commented. “Our annual repurchase is what sets us apart from almost everyone else.”

“Most insurance agencies won’t repurchase customers every year unless their renewal increases by a certain percentage,” he said, adding that this repurchase model works extremely well in Connecticut. “Our customers love it.”

Asked about the property insurance crisis, Cleri said his company is working tirelessly to find new home insurance for displaced people, often at better prices. “It’s not easy, but we will be there to fight with our customers,” he added.
