AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, part of the AXA Group, a global leader in insurance and asset management, has planned to deepen insurance coverage in Nigeria through the launch of its Insurtech acceleration initiative titled: “ The Innovation Exchange Programme”.

According to a statement from the insurer, the program was designed to help develop, develop, market and scale Insurtech solutions in a way that supports seamless distribution, claims management, technical underwriting, customer management and payment for insurance services in different segments. of the market.

The company’s Chief Client Officer, Rashidat Adebisi, said the program was designed to leverage the years of experience, expertise and capabilities that AXA Mansard has developed to empower Insurtechs across the country through to their circle of incubation, growth and scale.

“The new program represents another step in our continued commitment to our goal of acting for human progress by protecting what matters,” she said. We are confident that the success of this program will raise the profile of our industry, make insurance protection accessible to more people, address some of the cultural perceptions about insurance and ultimately distribute wealth through employment that our cohorts will create.

Commenting on the program, Chief Digital Innovation Officer, Bayo Adesanya, said the Innovation Exchange Program is another way AXA Mansard is accelerating insurance through digital transformation.

According to him, “Right now we are empowering several insurance and fintech organizations. We have developed amazing solutions with these ecosystem partners and continue to seek opportunities to do more.

“The solution is also another opportunity, and we are excited about the possibilities. Our belief is that insurance plays an essential role in the economy and must be driven by both physical and digital partnerships.
“Unfortunately, the Insurtech space is not as developed as its other fintech cousins, HealthTech and others. So this is our way of increasing the number of technology companies providing solutions for insurance.

“We will offer the partners selected in the framework of this exchange our mentorship, our advice and possibly a launch pad. We look forward to a great, mutually beneficial and innovative relationship with each of them,” Adesanya noted.
