Ghana: Serene Insurance Named Fastest Growing Insurance Company

Serene Insurance, a member of the First Sky Group, was named the fastest growing insurance company in the country at the 5th Annual Ghana Insurance Awards held in Accra.

Serene Insurance established in 2018 is well capitalized with approximately GH¢57 million and was the first insurance company in Ghana to officially announce full capitalization in January 2021, well above the limit set for the new capital requirements by the regulator, the National Insurance Commission for insurance companies. .

Serene Insurance demonstrated strong growth in key financial metrics across its various business segments, as it recorded approximately GH¢43.3 million in gross written premiums for FY 2021, representing an increase of 50% compared to GH¢21.7 million in 2020.
