Florida court revives mold inspector’s insurance coverage lawsuit

By Ben Zigterman (May 27, 2022, 3:39 p.m. EDT) – A Florida appeals panel overturned a lower court’s dismissal of a mold inspector’s insurance lawsuit on behalf of homeowners, finding that the lower court relied on documents not in the record.

The Kidwell Group LLC sued American Integrity Insurance Co. of Florida for storm damage reimbursement after being awarded Victor Vega and Ann Paynter benefits, but the lower court found that the assignment agreement did not did not meet the requirements of a 2019 law.
